More sewing and alittle potty talk!

I decided to make Jaden one more outfit before we left for Disney this week. I just liked the colors. Delaine and I have decided that we will have so many outfits for the girls they will have to be changed every two hours!

The shirt says it all!!!

I also decided to branch out and make something without ruffles! So here it is...

Are you asking yourself what is that? Well let me show you!

Its a handy dandy crayon holder! I was feeling pretty proud of myself having made something new and then I showed it to Rusty! He proceeded to remind me that crayons came with their own holder so there was no need for a fancy one! Men!!!

This week I also got Jaden to help me deliver some flowers to a couple of Rusty's employees for executive assistant day! Lucky for me the shopping cart only fell apart three times on the way inside the office!
On the way inside the office it dawned on me that we were there on bring your daughter to work day. I thought it would be a great idea for me to leave Jaden at the office so she could kinda shadow her dad for the day. Unfortunately Rusty did not think this was a good idea and she ended up going back home with me. It was worth a try! I did get so cute pictures out of it though!

And finally for those who are following the poop saga, things are running real smooth! Extremely smooth!!! Jaden has pooped 5 times in the last four days! This is AMAZING because we were lucky to get two times in one week before this! The bad part is she is still scared of the potty so I am busy changing diapers. For the first year and a half I got away with her using the potty since that is what she did in China. But after her "hard" times in the potty she is scared of it. So we are reverting back to diapers. Thats ok though I am just glad my little girl is feeling better!!!

Easter 2011!!!

We enjoyed a fun filled very long Easter weekend! My parents came up from Mississippi to spend time with Jaden and of course Jodus. They got in late Wednesday and Jaden was so happy to see them.(I was too because it gave me a little break)Of course they brought alot of stuff they had been collecting for Jaden since the last time we saw them. Her favorite had to be the horse!
The whole time my parents were here it rained so we did not get to do any fun outdoor stuff. We decided to go to Dave & Buster's so they could play games one day and that was a big hit.

Jaden also got to dye her Easter eggs. I bought the no mess kind but as you can see from her hands that was a big fat lie!

We also got to get a quick egg hunt in while the rain stopped. We met up with our good buddy Sophie and got loaded down with eggs! No Easter dress this year, instead we opted for Easter rain boots!

The rest of the time was spent indoors enjoying family and good food!(except for the turkey) :-)

Now the family is gone and Jaden and I had a day of rest! Tomorrow we will start packing for our big Disney trip!!! Can't wait!!!

(And for those of you keeping up with our poop drama the doctor has put Jaden on a daily dose of miralax. Hopefully this will work and she wont be pushing boulders anymore!)

Lesson learned!

Alot of the pictures that you see on the blog have a special friend in them. I am sure some of you have noticed "puppy" there have even been posts devoted to puppy. Jaden is obsessed with this stuffed animal! My mom got it for her while we were in TN in September 2009 and ever since they have been inseparable. He goes everywhere with us. Luckily she will leave him in the car when we get out so we have not lost him yet. I bought backups but she will have nothing to do with them! Needless to say puppy is looking a little rough and his smell is not all that great. I decided to give him a "bath" last week. My plan was not to let Jaden see and I was going to put one of the backup puppies in too so maybe I could trick her, yhea right! Well she saw what I was doing so I thought ok I will let her be a part of it. I let her put puppy in the wash and told her he was getting a bath. She was all good, until the door closed and she saw puppy spinning around! Then she proceeded to try to get the door open and scream! This went on for the majority of the bath! After he was clean I gave her the fake puppy but she knew right away this was not her puppy! The fake was thrown on the floor and I caved in and gave her scraggly puppy. Now she is happy once again! And puppy smells fresh at least for the next week or so anyway!!! Next time I will not let her see!!

Jaden also has a fascination with hula hoops lately! She does the hula without a hoop all the time. I have been looking for one and finally found it last week. Of course she cant quite get the hang of it but she tries her best. But now she has to have it when she is napping! Yes my daughter sleeps with her hula hoop! Its kinda cute!

And last but not least, we got together with Jaden's oldest friend last week. Yes they go way back to the Fuzhou SWI days! So amazing that they both were together and now live just 10 minutes from each other! We got Jaden and Sophie together for a trip to the park last week! It is so amazing to see them together! So glad they will be able to get together more often in just a few short weeks!(Amy, you can do it! Just a few more weeks!!!:-))

Getting ready for Disney! and our special guest...

Our Disney trip is just a view more weeks away! I am so ready to get away from the cold and rain we are having up north(and I am looking forward to a dog free vacation. I have been busy getting some Disney attire ready for Jaden! Now of course I had to make two of each outfit so our bestie Julianna and Jaden can match! Both of these girls LOVE Toy Story and Buzz more than anyone! It was not easy finding Toy story fabric but I did! Of course its blue but I think our girls can pull it off! I cant wait to see their faces when they get to meet their idol!!!

And yep that's a biscuit in my girls hand! She may live in the north but she is a Southerner through and through. She loves her biscuits!!!

This weekend we had a small taste of summer! We had one day of 82 degrees! It was so nice. We went for a walk and then took JJ to a small park by our house! She had a blast!

When we walked back home I noticed we had a special delivery by our front steps in our flower bed!

Seems the local duck family decided that our home looked nice enough to lay 11 eggs! Of course Jaden is thrilled because she loves ducks. The mother duck is not to thrilled about a certain two year old that keeps hollering quack quack at her! Of course this is better than having the sparrow from hell laying a nest under our porch like we had last year!!! What can I say the birds love us!
