This and that...

There is just no name that would fit for this post so it's a little of this and a little of that!
Last week we stayed in because we have been running like chickens with our heads cut off and Jaden actually told me she wanted to stay home. I was happy to oblige! So we hung out just the two of us...
Jaden has been wanting to grow a garden so we bought some seeds and got to work!
As soon as we watered them she expected the flowers to pop right up! I had to explain that it takes a while.
We were also able to play in the backyard because daddy finally scooped some poop!
Jaden also decided it was time to teach Gabbie to go down the slide.
Jaden got to eat her first hard boiled egg and decided she was not a fan!
She also got to eat one of her favorite things. What is that you ask?
Yep, my high class girl likes to dip her bread in olive oil! If we are having bread she will say "I need oil please!" We let her have her own because she likes to triple dip!

Easter 2012

I feel like we have been hopping all weekend! This has been a very busy and very fun Easter! We spent yesterday with our wonderful neighbors at our local Easter egg hunt! This was the first time we have attended this egg hunt and I am sure it will become a tradition! There were over 50,000 eggs and they even dropped them from a helicopter! Jaden and Andrew lovedit! We also got to see our new friend Grayce but I didn't get any pictures of her!
While we were shopping for Jaden's Easter hat she found another hat that she just had to have. She was nice enough to show it off for me.

This morning Jaden was so excited to see what the Easter bunny had brought!!!
Then it was outside so we could "try" to get a decent picture. The wind would not cooperate!
Finally this afternoon we headed down to Dayton to spend Easter with Rusty's family.
I am so thankful Easter is over and we can rest up after such a busy weekend. I think Jaden may be getting sick again so we have already had to cancel some plans for this week. Hopefully she is just tired.
Tonight she was in the bathtub and acting funny so I asked what was wrong? She said "my heart is broken" I was floored and have no clue where she got this. I tried to ask why and she wouldn't tell me. Rusty asked her was it mommy or daddy and she said no. When he asked about Warren she said yes that is why her heart was broken. So now we are wondering is it because she wants him home so bad or is it because she doesn't want him home? I like to think it is the first one. She has a baby doll she calls baby brother and she sleeps with it and has to brush it's teeth everynight. Hopefully she will be like that with her little brother!

Let's dye some eggs!

Yesterday was the day to dye our eggs. Usually my parents are here and I don't have to do this wonderful job. But this year they didn't come so it was up to me to do this "great" Easter tradition!
I was determined not to dye cracked eggs so I went trolling on the internet to see how to boil the perfect eggs.
I am now a perfect egg boiler! Not one cracked egg!
After letting the eggs cool and letting the 3 year old nap it was time!
It didn't take long before we had our first big mess!
But a quick lesson in ege dying etiquette and the eggs were dropped a little easier!
And because you can't just buy egg dye anymore, they all come with a little something extra. We went with the animals egg dye kit!
A now I am done for another year! I guess next year I will have to add another dozen eggs for our little man!
