Fun with a boy!!! and riding horses! And Happy Birthday wishes!

Yesterday Jaden had a playdate with her friend Andrew. Little do these two know that they have already been paired up for dances and possibly marriage!!! HAHAHA!
While Jaden and Andrew played I got to have adult conversation with my great friend Melissa and we got to attempt to do some scrapbooking. Yhea right! After they played here for a while we went to a great park in town! The kids had a wonderful time and it was great spending time with someone over 3 feet!!!



Last week we went to a farm about 45 minutes from home to meet up with some friends! Jaden had a blast seeing all the animals. She loves all animals so it made her day. Her favorite part by far was riding a horse!!!








And yesterday was Jaden's Best friends birthday so we have to send a big happy birthday to our best bud Julianna!!!
And of course we also have to wish our other great friend Allie Grace a happy birthday too! Hers is just few days away! We hope both of you special girls have a great birthday party this weekend!!! Wish we could be there!!!

Apple Picking!

One of the things I have looked forward to doing with Jaden sine she has been home is pick apples! I dont know why because I have never picked apples that I know of. All summer I was thinking ahead to our apple picking trip. Finally fall came and it was time, so I bribed Rusty with the fact that I would make and apple pie if he went! It worked and he took off friday and we hit the road to a local apple farm. We had a great time and picked 40 lbs of apples!










Now I had to figure out what to do with all these apples! Of course I have to make a pie but how many apples can that take. So I found a recipe on the internet for apple sauce in a crockpot. I made it today and oh my goodness is it good! I am so proud of myself. Rusty said its the best applesauce he has ever had. Now we may have to go back and pick more apples!!!

Tigers, Birthdays, Chickens and mooncakes!

Jaden has had a busy week and a half! I have no clue what Rusty and I did before she came. I think I remember something about sleep and alot of free time! That no longer happens. Well the sleep part still happens for one of us but lets just say its not me!
Of course the zoo is our second home so we had a visit to the zoo to see lions and tigers and bears oh my! We went with our friends M & G!



Last weekend we had Chinese school which meant lots of dancing, singing and friends!




The next day we had a birthday party for our good friend A! We had fun playing games and eating cake!!!



We also did some walking so we could catch the last rays of the summer!



We also did some house cleaning!

This week we went to the county fair with A & M! We had a good time petting animals. While we were at the fair a chicken decided to bite Jaden and leave a beak print on her finger! I also realized that the south does not hold the patent on rednecks, they are alive and well and living in Ohio!





Friday Rusty's parents came into town so we decided to go back to the fair. Jaden got to ride a few rides. We had to work ourselves up to letting her ride the baby ferris wheel and once we did she loved it!






And finally, yesterday our local FCC group celabrated the Harvest moon festival! This was the first time we attended this and it was great! We had a picnic lunch and the kids got to play, do crafts and of course we got to be in a latern parade! It was alot of fun and we cant wait till next year to do it again!
