Long overdue update on Jaden!

It's been a while since I have devoted a post just to my kids individually.  Truthfully its so much easier to write one post and put it on each blog and I barely have time to do that much!  But all too soon summer is coming to a close and I realized that my baby will be going to kindergarten!  It seems like just yesterday I was handed a little baby in China but really its been almost 5 years!
In two short weeks Jaden will be starting kindergarten.  Much to my dismay it is all day every day!
Lucky for me she is excited.  She is thrilled to eat lunch at school and we are in discussions about actually riding the bus to school every morning but letting mommy pick her up in the afternoons.
We have had a busy summer as you can tell by our bucket list of 100 things to do this summer!
There is a lot of other things we have been doing this summer.  Especially Jaden!
I missed posting about Jaden's preschool graduation.  Yes she graduated even though she only went to school for 3 months!  They gave out awards that went with candy bars and Jaden was given the Milky Way award for having work that was out of this world!

We were very blessed to have a wonderful teacher and assistants.  Luckily I will still get to see them because Warren will still be in the class at least one more year!

For some reason Jaden still had three more days after graduation before the last day of school!

The end of school year also brought the end of dance!  Jaden did both tap and ballet this year which of course meant double the practice time!

Jaden had a pretty long day of dress rehearsal thanks to daddy doing the daddy daughter dance!

Two days after the rehearsal it was recital day!

I am happy to say that both Jaden and her daddy did a great job dancing!  We decided to take the summer off from dancing and will start in the fall.  We thought about signing her up for the competition team but with Warren having surgery in November and her not quite 6 yet we are going to hold off till next year!

After the recital we went into full summer mode!  For us this meant the pool, a lot!  We joined our local country club and we now spend a lot of time in the water.  Jaden went from really having no clue how to swim to now swimming and jumping off the diving board!  This all happened in about a two week time period!

She loves the water!  I love it because a day at the pool really wears them all out!

One of the highlights of the summer was going to the OBX with our China family!  There were 6 families that went, which is half of our original group!  This of course was Jaden's group!  She calls them her Chinese sisters!  We are so blessed that our families have remained so close!  IT may be a year or more before we see them but every time we just pick up right where we left off!  I feel so lucky that Jaden will have these girls all throughout her life and I will have the parents!
In our beach house we had 4 families, this meant 11 kids!  I will admit I was a little worried but I have to say it was great!  Luckily we all gel great.  It was wonderful!  The girls got a lot of time with each other which is the most important part!  It was sad to see everyone leave but it wont be long before we see them again!  And next time there will be an added member of our China family when little Zai joins the Spruill family!

Its hard to believe that in a few short days it will be 5 years that this special girl was placed in our arms! We are forever thankful for that day!  She is one special girl!

Over halfway there!

I am happy to say that we are over halfway done with our summer bucket list!  I am sad to say that summer is winding down so we really have to kick it into high gear to get the rest of the list done!  We have three weeks till school starts so we have to make these next three weeks count.
