One year ago today....

It was a year ago today that our lives changed forever! We had waited for years to hear the words, "you have a daughter....". At 11:00 A.M. we got that call from Beth at CCAI and those are the words we heard! I will never forget that day nor will I forget how it felt to see that first glimpse of our daughter! She was dressed in about 10 layers of clothes and looked scared to death! We fell in love with her that day and our love for her has grown stronger everyday! Now she is a strong willed toddler with a mind of her own! We love you so much JJ!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Today is Rusty's first father's day! Last year he was a father we just didn't know who our daughter was. You see last father's day we knew that there was a picture of our daughter sitting on a desk at our agency. The whole weekend we knew that it was there and we had to wait until Monday to find out who and where she was! Its hard to believe that just a year ago we had no clue about her, now it seems like she has always been with us!
I know that this will be a Father's day that we will always remember!

Our girl loves some corn on the cob!

Jaden has really become very picky about what she will and will not eat. She will eat mac and cheese and fries, she will not eat anything else! This makes for a real fun dinner time! So I decided to put some corn on the cob on her plate hoping she would eat it and if not I hoped it would keep her occupied so we could finish our dinner. Well She loved it! She ate the first one and was sucking on it so I had to give her a second one! So now she will eat three things! And an added bonus is that it bought us alot of time to finish our own meal!!!

Sick as a dog!

Jaden has not been herself this week but I figured it was because of our trip last week. She had a fever and threw up some the first part of the week which I thought was due to teething. Yesterday she did not wake up until 11:50! Of course she didn't go to sleep until 11 either but she has never slept that long. Then for her nap she slept 3 hours until I finally woke her up! And then last night she woke up every 2 hours crying and coughing. Luckily we had a well baby appointment today so we just changed it to a sick baby visit! Turns out Jaden really was sick and had a virus. The good news is we are at the end of the virus and she will be well enough to attend her Chinese school program on Saturday! Yhea! I will be glad when she can tell me she feels bad. The Dr. couldn't get over how tall she was, she is now 32 1/4 inches! She weighs 24.3 lbs. In 9 months she has gained almost 6 pounds and grown 3 inches! I guess she likes the American food!!!
