Ok I have never posted a video on here mainly because I dont have a clue how to do it so I am going to try. We went to the science museum today(never again during spring break!)They had Hula hoops and Jaden had to try. Its too cute! Hope it works!

And since I finally got the hang of it here is a video I took of JJ modeling my latest creation. And she is doing her version of the Hawaiian Hula!

My little fashionista!

Jaden has really turned into a little Diva here lately! She is all into bows and hats and loves to where her sunglasses. Everyday I have to tell her she is pretty. And she loves to watch T*ddlers and T*aras!(no she will not be in a pageant!) She also likes to where pretty clothes and loves to shop. She so does not get that from me! I recently ordered her swimsuits and new clothes for our upcoming trip to Disney!(yep again! and yes we are meeting our favorite family there too! Cant wait!)
So the box arrived and we had nothing else to do because Spring came and went and it is cold again. Jaden decided to give a little fashion show! It was so funny because she kept asking me to take a picture and she would pose! She kept wanting to put new clothes on and I finally had to put a stop to it after 6 changes! Boy we are going to have our hands full when she gets older!(please excuse the pink socks they are her favorite and they are size 6 months but she loves them!)

March 15th

Well 5 years ago today our paperwork was logged into CCAA and our official wait began for Jaden. Thank goodness we are not still waiting like many people logged in just 3 months after us are! For three years we celebrated that we were one year closer to our daughter! Last year we celebrated that we were no longer waiting. I remember the importance of the day everytime I see those little numbers 3/15. I think I always will. For so long our life revolved around that special date. We counted the distance between our date and the date that came out every month. We marked the difference down and did the math in our head and on paper! We waited and waited for our number to come up. And finally it did! And there was a reason we had to wait all that time because we were waiting to be matched to that perfect little girl from China. Its amazing to think that Jaden was not even born when we were logged into China. She wasn't born until 2 years and 8 months later. Even though we no longer celebrate that special day of 3/15/2006 I know that I will always remember it. How can we not since that is all we thought about for so long?!?!?!?!

Here is a picture of two of the little 3/15/2006 babies. Jaden and Sophie. Please excuse the fact that Jaden looks like a hot mess. This was taken just after she threw-up at the lunch table! Such fun!

Mardi Gras in Ohio and my second creation!

Yesterday was Fat Tuesday and the last day of Mardi Gras. I was feeling a big craving for a little Kings cake this year. Its been forever since I have had one. So I ordered one and had it overnighted so Jaden could taste her first Kings Cake! Yesterday I was stalking the UPS guy waiting for my package. Finally it got here and we had a little Mardi Gras celebration of our own! There were no floats and nobody was yelling throw me something mister and there were no boobs in our faces! Nope Mardi Gras Ohio style was quite with JJ wearing beads and maybe throwing a few on Lancie. But the best part was the Kings cake! Oh my God it was SOOOOO good! I have had many a Kings cake but none compare to this one. I ordered it from Paul's Pastries in MS. It wasn't cheap but it was so worth it. I have already decided that we will be ordering one again next year, or maybe 5! Rusty had planned to take some to work but we decided it was too good! Sorry guys! Jaden was a fan of the Kings cake too. Of course she is a bigger fan of the beads! Maybe next time we can take her to see the real Mardi Gras!!!

I also finished a second outfit for Jaden. Same pattern just different fabrics. Now that I have done it once it is so easy to do. I am going to venture out and try a new design soon!

Finally a day in the sun!

Today when we got up it was pretty cold out but I knew it was going to get to at least 53 and we had made plans with friends to meet at the park. Now back in the day when I lived in the south if it was 43 degrees that was freezing cold and that meant you needed to stay in doors. But since we moved to the frozen state of Ohio if its about 40 that means a heat wave and you better go outside before it snows again! So I bundled the princess up and off we went. By the time we got to the park my van said it was 46 degrees! Oh yhea it was on! We had a nice picnic lunch with our buddies. We all tried to find that one spot that had some sun shinning down! I grabbed the coveted spot because my poor girl needed to soak up some vitamin D so she stays well for a change! It was a little cold but once we were done eating it was time to play. By then it had to be a sweltering 50 degrees! Heck some of the kids were pulling their jackets off. Poor Jaden didn't have a choice. The jacket stayed on, we are not that northern yet! Jaden had a great time playing a running. I had a great time having a conversation that did not revolve around Mickey Mouse, Buzz, or Woody!!! Wish we could do it again tomorrow but its gonna rain! Glad we grabbed the sun while we could.

Tonight Jaden will celabrate her first "Mardi Gras" Ohio style. I paid top dollar to have a Kings cake shipped here overnight. We have no floats but we do have beads! I am counting down the hours till we get to try that Kings cake! And you know there will be pictures!!!

My Sweet Angel

Poor JJ has been sick all week with the crud. Her cough is horrible and her fever had been high. I think we are finally turning the corner today. Of course I think the reason is because she has passed it onto me! That's ok as long as she is ok.
I just had to take a picture of her after she fell asleep for her nap today. She does not like wearing hats but today she refused to take it off even to sleep in. She doesn't realize she is so not matching!!!

I love her sense of fashion!!!(you should see her rainbow colored pants!)

Just call me Suzy Homemaker!

I got the wild hair to try to make Jaden some clothes.  I took a sewing class 6 years ago to learn how to make sleep pants and that was the end of my sewing schooling.  But I love the look of these clothes and to order them online its like $50 + and Jaden is so tall with such a tiny waste(don't know where she gets that from) so I wasn't going to spend the money only to have the pants fall off her!  So I decided I would give it a try.  I searched and found a pattern on the internet and ordered the China Girl fabric and off I went.  I think it turned out pretty good for a first try with no help!  Rusty was shocked to say the least.  It is not perfect, there is one place where the ruffle is longer but oh well its my first try.  The good part is Jaden's pants actually stay up and she is not showing her plumber butt!  My next attempt is a sun dress. Also you would never know my model had a fever of 102 during these pictures!
You will now be seeing Jaden in alot of these outfits!!!
