Our state fair is in town so we decided to take Jaden this weekend. So after burning myself pretty bad(whole other story), we loaded up and headed out. It was only 77 degrees here so it was a great day.(sorry all my southerners!!!) Jaden was in awe of all that was going on in front of her!
The first thing we did was let her try a funnel cake. She thought they were ok but not great!
Then we paid money so she could "win" a prize. She caught her fish and picked out that $10 puppy!
Then it was onto the rides and my girl had no fear. I was worried about putting her on a ride alone but there was no need to be worried. She was smiling the whole time, after awhile she even decided to stick her hand in the water during the ride!
After her fair ride christening we moved onto some more rides, some mommy and daddy even got to ride!(only so we could use up the tickets faster)
I had to let her ride the cars and they turned out to be her favorite. From the looks of it these were the same cars that I rode in my first fair!
After using all of our tickets(finally), we moved on to the animals. Jaden got her hand licked by every animal at the fair!
We checked out the poultry barn and saw some fine lookin birds. While we were there looking at the turkeys this man walked up eating a turkey leg, that was just wrong!
There was a sheep and three lambs out for everyone to see and at first I thought it was cute and had Jaden pet the baby. Then someone walked up behind me and said "wow, she's had two more since we were here earlier!" Ok so that meant this poor sheep was in labor with all these crazy people watching. And my daughter just touched a lamb that came out of that sheep's good stuff!!! Needless to say there was alot of hand washing going on!
Of course we couldn't go to the fair without seeing the infamous butter cow! Its a cow made out of, what else butter baby! They do it every year, kinda nuts if ya ask me!
We also got some tasty Ohio ice cream while we were checking out the BC!
While we waited on daddy Jaden got a little practice in walking the yellow line. She better never need to put this to the test!
Once done with our ice cream we headed to the sheep barn.
There is just something not quite right about this picture!
We couldn't leave without checking out the goat playground! It was worth it I have to admit!
By the end of the day we were all worn out. By the time I pulled out of the parking lot I looked in my rearview mirror and this is what I saw!
I guess she had a good time!
Surgery!
