I know most of the people who read this blog know our story, but for those who may have stumbled onto this site I will let you know how these two girls got here.
In July of 2007 I got an email from Amy saying we had the same LID and same agency and we thought it would be nice to get to know each other because we would most likely travel together to Ch*na. This all happened while we were still in Nashville. We decided we would meet in August when I was going to be in Ohio for a wedding. Well who knew but just a week after we "met" online Rusty found out we were being transferred to Ohio! Not only were we moving to Ohio but we were moving to the same town that Amy and her family lived in! What are the odds. So we moved about 10 minutes from Amy and her family and we all spent alot of time together and became wonderful friends. It was wonderful to have someone to talk to that was going through the same hell that I was going through during the wait for Jaden. So finally after many years it was referral time. We both knew that the chances of our girls being in the same orphanage were small since there were alot of people with our LID. After we got our call and called our family Rusty and I headed to Amy's so we could each see our girls together. It was then that we found out that Jaden and Sophie were from the SAME orphanage!!! Not only that but they were the only two that were from that orphanage! What are the chances of that? So these girls will have a special story to tell and I know they will become best friends. I am so glad they have each other! And I am so glad to have become such good friends with their family!
