Summer fun!

We have been keeping ourselves pretty busy this summer. We had about two weeks straight of family, both mine and Rusty's. We spent the 4th of July weekend pretty much celebrating my birthday! When you are born near a holiday I feel you should be celebrating the whole weekend so we did! We ended the party Monday with homemade ice cream and invited over my brother's family which includes Jaden's new favorite person Jodus, or as she likes to call him Joda! Jaden got her first taste of homemade icecream and I think she really enjoyed it!!!



Most of the time that Jodus is here his time is spent doing this....




But of course he makes time for his favorite cousin!



Plus Jaden is getting used to seeing her Aunt Lissa and Uncle Took more..



We have also been trying to beat the heat here in Ohio. I feel like I am getting to "northern" by living here. It gets around 90 and I say its hot, this is with low humidity. Back in the day in Mississippi, you know the land of 100% humidity, I would spend three weeks in August at band camp(no jokes please)in 100 + heat and be ok. It is funny here to see people freak when it hits 90 or above though. That's nothing. But anyway we had to get Jaden a new pool because someone but a hole in hers! Pickins were slim so we ended up with a big alligator in our back yard!


We have also been going over Jaden's new family responsibilities. You gotta earn your keep around here. She was really interested in what Rusty was doing.(dont let these pictures fool ya, I did most of the work but no one took pictures!) Notice that Jaden is sporting the new gangsta baby look with the saggy diaper, maybe she need scooping too!




And finally we have been spending time with our little play group. Last week it was the zoo and this week it was pool time at our house! Jaden is the youngest by far but she does her best to keep up with the big girls!!!
