Well it is that time of year again. you know the time where you force your child to sit in a strangers lap so that you can get that coveted Christmas picture! If you recall Jaden was forced into 4 different laps last year. It started off good but by the 3rd and 4th jolly old man she was done. I had hoped that the same would happen this year. We would get two good pictures and two not so good ones. Well I was wrong! Earlier this week I took her to the mall where we met up with one of her favorite little friends Mattie. My hopes for a good picture were dashed when Jaden freaked out when I tried to put her down. Luckily we were able to sit on a reindeer and get o picture of the two girls together!
Today was the annual COFCC Christmas party and we had to go to see if we could get a better picture. Yhea right! So I dressed our little Diva in her Holiday best and let her know she would get candy if she sat with Santa(a little bribery never hurts!) First her little buddy Leah went up and Jaden waited at the stairs.
Then Jaden decided it was time to get a little closer but not to close!
So I am thinking sure she will love sitting in his lap today! Fraid not!
There are still 20 days left so there is still hope for that happy picture with Santa Right?
At least I got some other cute pictures without the jolly red man!
I learned a valuable lesson this week to never say never. When I see people who have leashes on their children I have always said I would never do that to my child. But Monday Jaden and I are leaving for a fun filled trip to see some of our favorite friends the Spruills! We will be in Disneyworld with Just the girls! So the other night after a busy day of chasing my little angel I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about the fact that I would not have Rusty there to help me wrangle Jaden when we were at Disney. I had awful thoughts of her walking off or someone taking(yes they would return her after a while) So I decided it was time to get a leash for my kid! So yes I will now be one of THOSE people who has my child on a leash! But I wont be alone because I bought two of those wonderful Elmo leashes and miss Julianna will be wearing one too! They will be the two cutest kids on leashes you will ever see! Wish us luck!!!
