DAY 58, THEY FINALLY CALLED

Ok well I called Memphis again since they never returned my call, I even had our social worker fax them to see what was up. Well I called this morning and left another message stressing the fact that I had already called once with no response. Well less then 30 minutes later I got a call and they said our case would be be processed either the end of this week or the beginning of next week! So if everything goes well we should have the I171H by next week! yhea! We are getting closer to DTC. If all goes well we should be DTC at least by the end of february. I cant wait. Then I will officially be "paper pregnant"! Yhea! I guess I will have to take it easy for the next year! hahaha!

I called Memphis

Ok I couldnt take it anymore so I gave in and called Memphis to ask about our I171H. Well that was 24 hours ago and suprise no one has returned my call. I am getting very aggravated. I am trying my best not to call again but I have no will power. I have emailed our homestudy agency to see what they could do, I got an email back from her and she said that she could fax a request to them but to see if they returned my call today. I will email her this afternoon to let her know I have gotten no response. I also now have the numbers to both senators her in TN and a contact person who is checking on these things for other people because the Memphis office it seems is the slowest in the country. Arent we lucky? All I want is to be DTC by next month! Once we get the I171H I will take it to the county clerck, hopefully I can take it to the Secretary of State, Then mail it to Washington authentication and then to the Chinese Embassy and then I will mail it to CCAI! I need that piece of paper now!
Just needed to vent!

Day 57!

Too Cute

ok I think I have finally figured out how to post photos. So here is a test. I just ordered this onesies for Jaden. One says I love Daddy and the other says I love Mommy in Chinese characters! They are too cute. I oredered the daddy one monday but the mommy was on back order. But today it let me order it. Yhea. Jaden will never have to worry about clothes. Between myself and my parents she is all decked out. Her closet is already half full. And we put in a custom closet system that has three bars for clothes. Now we have to buy a dresser for more clothes! She will have a new outfit on everyday of the year! And Rusty's mom is making a Disney quilt for the nursery. Her room will be so cute. OH well I had to share. Now that I can download photos I will start sending photos of the nursery and our dossier.

STILL WAITING

Ok today is day 52! I am trying to decide now if I want to call the Memphis office and see where it is or wait. I dont want to call and be moved back to the back of the line. Maybe I will wait one more day.
On a better note. All of our other paperwork was sent UPS to CCAI in Colorado on Tuesday! Yhea! Now they can begin their critical review and once the I171H gets there they can begin translation! I am still hoping that we will be DTC in Feb. at least I hope that we will. This waiting is killing me.

45 DAYS!!!

Ok today it has been 45 days since we have been fingerprinted and still no I171H! The wait is killing me! We have our first parenting class in a week so I will ask them if I should go ahead and get our congressman involved. I was hoping it wouldnt come to that but oh well!
On a brighter note we got all of our paperwork from Tennessee yesterday from the Chinese Consulate in Washington DC. Now everything is done.(except of course the most important piece!) I plan on overnighting all of our other paperwork to CCAI on monday so they can make sure everything is perfect. We are almost there if the Memphis office would just get it together!

PAPERWORK IN WASHINGTON

Well Rusty is in the clear. We got our paperwork back on New Years Eve even though he forgot to take the tracking #! I even let him take it to the post office Tuesday and mail it to Washington to the Chinese consulate. And he remembered the tracking #! They forgot to give it to him but he asked. Of course he forgot to write documents on it but we hope that is ok. I checked and they got the paperwork Wednesday so we should get it back next week. I have talked to CCAI and they said we could go ahead and mail all of our paperwork minus the I171H as soon as we get it back and they could go ahead and do the critical review! Yhea! That way as soon as they get the I171H it will be done and they can get it translated and sent to China! We are so close to being DTC! Of course it has now been 38 days since we have been fingerprinted and no I171H. I got good news and bad, one family got their form in 45 days but for one it took 19 weeks! It is hard sitting here waiting because I know at this point it is out of my hands. And I have been told that Memphis is the worst office! If it takes too long we will get our congressman involved. I call Rusty everyday at 2:30 for him to check the mail and see if it is there. Hopefully soon.
